“As soon as I painted The Twix it took on a sudden theatricality. Glamorous gold wrapping, glossy chocolate delivered in two parts like a play with an interval, an intriguing missing bite revealing surprise caramel. With these paintings I’m really interested in how, if I choose a certain angle and get the shadow right, a humble object can have real drama. After I painted The Twix I ate it! I’d forgotten how good they are.”

The Twix, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for Dimpse, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
