“This is the first time I’ve painted a singing bird! Nightingales really love singing; they sing very loud and they sing both in the day and in the evening, when all the other birds are quiet. I’ve painted this nightingale with a halo of bright light around it, as I’m imagining it enjoying the last flash of sunshine at the end of a Summer’s day.”

The Nightingale, painted directly onto the Farrow and Ball paint swatch for Yeabridge Green, is an original miniature painting by Rachel Spelling. The painting is 2cm x 3cm and it is served on a strip of twelve beautiful colours from the iconic Farrow & Ball colour card, which measures 7.4cm x 21cm. It is sold unframed.

This miniature is signed and dated on the back and it will be accompanied by a signed and embossed certificate of authenticity.
